  • Business & Volunteer of the Year 2020

    Nominations are being accepted for the Corning Chamber of Commerce Business and Volunteer of the year. The award is selected based in part of the following criteria:

    • Staying Power: a substantiated history as an established business
    • Growth in numbers of employees: a benchmark to the judge the impact of the business on the job market.
    • Increase in sales and/or unit volume: an indication of continued growth
    • Innovative products or services: illustration of the creativity and imagination of the nominee
    • Responds to adversity: example of problems faced in the nominee’s business and the methods used to solve them
    • Contributions by nominees to aid community-oriented projects: using his or her personal time and other resources
    The award will be presented at the annual board of directors Installation dinner. To nominate a business or individual, please submit a one-page letter outlining how the nominee deserves to be honored.

All nominations will be reviewed by the Chamber Board of Directors and the award winners will be recognized at the 2021 Installation Dinner scheduled for Saturday January 30th.
